Hole in the Ceiling

There's been some uproar in California, my home state, over a fugitive at large in SOCAL. For those of you from the other 98% of the country, SOCAL means Southern California. Try to keep up on the witty, awesome, Golden State acronyms. Anyway, the LAPD have put out a $1,000,000 bounty for Chris Dorner, a suspected cop-killer, who is at large somewhere in the area. My question: Is this actually a real thing, or just the return of the TV show 24, but on a much larger scale?

The bounty was just issued tonight, which makes things much more interesting. Maybe Dog the Bounty Hunter will try to nab this guy. Or maybe a young, aspiring bounty hunter from Marin County will...
oosgangwawa
In other news, the Grammies are tonight (no, not MY award ceremony, the Grahammies). And I wish I could say I was shocked by the results... The Black Keys have been raking in the accolades all night, from best rock album (El Camino) to best rock song (Lonely Boy). As you may remember, The Black Keys are my second-favorite band (after The Beatles), and have given us such amazing songs as Gold on the Ceiling and Howlin' for You.

Anyway, if you want their best songs, just buy Rubber Factory and Brothers on CD and download Gold on the Ceiling individually... El Camino isn't their strongest album. Graham Vert

What amuses me about this is that every time I go to the Fairfax movie theater, I look up to see that one of the ceiling tiles has come loose. And so me and my friends start singing...

HOLE IN THE CEILING

Up on the roof
It hangs again...
Fall on the floor
My mind can't take much more...

I... just hope it doesn't hit meeee...
NANANANANANANANA
NANANANANANA
They wanna fix my
NANANANANANANANA
NANANANANANA
They wanna fix my
HOLE IN THE CEILING
NANANANA
I ain't lyin',
Just a matter of time,
'Fore you seal it...
NANANANANA
It's all right,
Ain't no tile of mine....

Can't see the clouds
But I can see...
Mold, asbestos
About to fall on me...

I... just hope it doesn't hit meeee...
NANANANANANANANANA
NANANANANANA
They wanna fix my
NANANANANANANANA
NANANANANANA
They wanna fix my
HOLE IN THE CEILING
NANANANA
NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANAAAAAA.....

Yeah, okay... you don't need to tell me it's not very good. But hey, it's better than actually watching the previews, right?

Bye!

Dumbstep

There is a new, disgusting fad ravaging America. Not since the dark days of Justin Bieber and Twilight have those of us with good taste suffered such an indignity. It's called Dubstep, and it's just about as f***ing stupid as it can get.
Basically, Dubstep is the dumbing-down of all music as we know it. First there was Perry Como. Then there was Muzak. Then there was Rebecca Black. And now we, as a society, have reached a new low. Dubstep takes no skill. It takes no brains. It is merely electronic sounds pulsed into your ears for four painful minutes. Then the next 'song' starts. You know how the DJ used to make those noises with the record before playing it? It's just that.
I didn't think we could go any lower than 'Baby, baby, baby, bay-beeeeEEEEEE!!!', but this is unbe-f***ing-lievable. Those who listen to Dubstep should be put in a pit with speakers that blasts nothing but The Beatles 24/7. It makes me sick. There are no lyrics. There is nothing called 'talent' involved. Whoever the giant dickhead who invented this is, he should be put to a swift yet painful end.
So: On behalf of my generation, I apologize. We made crap like this popular. Eventually, we will grow up, and start listening to stuff like The Black Keys or Train, but until then, the rest of us will have to put up with it.
Bye!

'Jefferson'

In my history class, we have a debate coming up between Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton. Yeah, I know it's stupid. We were supposed to treat it like a real debate, with signs and pins and posters.
And a song.
You see, I trust no one else on the planet but myself to write a decent song spoof, so I took the job. And it is a masterpiece. If you don't know the tune, click HERE for the Youtube video.

‘JEFFERSON’

An ingeniously crafted spoof on the song ‘Dynamite’.

I throw my hands up in the spacious skies

Sayin’ eee-o, I’m so freee-o

But then there’s people like Hamilton

Who want to fight, all your rights

I represent, sent, sent, sent

All the farmer’s rightful dissent, sent, sent, sent

Americans should be content, tent, tent, tent

Federalists should all repent, pent, pent, pent

This song goes on and on and on

And it goes on and on and OOOOON, yeaaah!

I throw my hands up in the spacious skies

Sayin’ eee-o, I’m so freee-o

But then there’s people like Hamilton

Who want to fight, all your rights

But we gonna fight right back

We gonna fight a ton

Because the president

Should be Tom Jefferson!

I came to send, send, send, send

The Federalists ‘round the bend, bend, bend, bend

The Constitution we defend, fend, fend, fend

Doesn’t want us to overspend, spend, spend, spend

This song goes on and on and on

And it goes on and on and OOOOON, yeaaah!

I throw my hands up in the spacious skies

Sayin’ eee-o, I’m so freee-o

But then there’s people like Hamilton

Who want to fight, all your rights

But we gonna fight right back

We gonna fight a ton

Because the president

Should be Tom Jefferson!

I’m gonna take ‘em all on

Federalists won’t know what hit ‘em

We will rule the world

Find one of them and get ‘em

America is awesome, and

America, it just wants it all

It just wants it all

My hands in the spacious skies

Hands in spacious skies,

Get your hands in the skyyyyy...

I throw my hands up in the spacious skies

Sayin’ eee-o, I’m so freee-o

But then there’s people like Hamilton

Who want to fight, all your rights

But we gonna fight right back

We gonna fight a ton

Because the president

Should be Tom Jefferson!

There you have it: My 'Dynamite' spoof, filled to the brim with pure awesome.

Bye!

BEST. SONG. EVER.

As you might know, I almost always call movies I like 'the best movie ever'. Well, I think I may have a disease, because I've started doing it with songs, too. So here's the list of best songs ever (not in any particular order). Also, I tried to limit the number of songs per band to three, because I don't want The Beatles, The Black Keys, and Greenday hogging the list.
The Beatles: Ticket to Ride, The Night Before, Help (all of which I have memorized)
Greenday: The Static Age (which I have memorized), Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Rolling Stones: Paint it Black (fun fact: I thought it was 'PAINTED Black' for the first 12 years of my life).
REM: It's the End of the World as We Know it, The One I Love (which I have memorized), and Work Song
Talking Heads: Road to Nowhere, And She Was
B.O.B: Nothin' on You, Don't Let Me Fall, I'll be in the Sky
Black Keys: Howlin' for You, Tighten Up, Gold on the Ceiling (all of which I have memorized)
World Party: When the Rainbow Comes, Curse of the Mummy's Tomb, Put the Message in the Box
Bob Dylan: The Times they are a Changin', Tambourine Man, The Man in Me
Red Hot Chili Peppers: The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie, Dani California, Californication
Foster the People: Don't Stop, Pumped Up Kicks
The Kinks: My Sharona (their only good song)
Taio Cruz: Dynamite (which I have memorized)
The Airborne Toxic Event: Changing (which I have memorized)
Keane: Stop For a Minute (which I have memorized)
Matt Nathanson: Faster
Fun: We Are Young
The Zombies: Time of the Season
Neon Trees: Animal
Weezer: Island in the Sun, Beverly Hills
Journey: Don't Stop Believing (which was in The Losers!)
ELO: Don't Bring Me Down
Weird Al: Amish Paradise, Ebay (both of which I have memorized)
Train: Save Me San Francisco (at least they don't call it 'Frisco'. Ugh)
There you go. Feel free to look up the ones you don't know. In fact, do it or else!
Bye!

It's The End of the World as we Know it (And I Feel Fine)

It is a sad, sad day indeed.
REM has officially disbanded. The third-best band I have EVER heard is gone from the face of the Earth (after, of course, The Beatles and Greenday).
All is not lost, though. For my birthday in November, I'm going to a Weird Al concert, where the man himself will be promoting his new CD, Alpocalypse. Here are the best Weird Al songs ever:
1) Amish Paradise
2) White & Nerdy
3) eBay
4) Eat it
5) Everything You Know is Wrong
These are fantastic songs, so good that even the originals don't come close.
Sigh... REM...
But on to happier topics. Uh... there aren't any.
School is back. Qadaffi is alive. Republicans are being complete and utter morons. What else is new?
A lot, actually, because I have OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED MY CANDIDACY FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! I DID... something.
Really, at the end of the day, that doesn't mean much. I am polling at exactly 0%, tied with Rick Santorum (Google his name!). The funny thing is that my cat, P-nut, led the polls at 24%. Fortunately, there's a poll error margin of roughly 4%, so P-nut could be at 20 with me at 4! There ya go, peoples! I've made my impact on the American political system!
Now to retire.
Bye!

Ich Bin Ein Zombie V: I'm Ready for the Zombie Apocalypse

So, here's something you might have noticed: with this blog, I have exactly fifty posts this year. Last year at this time, I had twenty. My hope is that this year, I can avoid the inevitable last-minute December scramble to meet my yearly quota of at least 100 blogs.
This smashes my previous record of 18 posts in a month (due to the aforementioned December cramming). I hope to usher in a new era of G-Force sponsored awesomeness.
DON'T FORGET TO BE AWESOME I WON'T
Anyway, I have much more important things to talk about. Namely, a certain epic song I recently wrote! And yes, I will conclude Ich Bin Ein Zombie ASAP, but this needs to be posted immediately. It's very long, so get your scrolling finger loosened up:
ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE
I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse
I'm ready for the zombie assault
Bring on the zombies and the zombie apocalypse
I'm not about to join the zombie cult
I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse
I've got my ammo right here by my side
Bring on the zombies and the zombie apocalypse
I'm not about to go and run and hide
Zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie die!
I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse
They know better than to mess with me
Bring on the zombies and the zombie apocalypse
I'll throw grenades into the undead sea
I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse
I'll shoot those undead creatures in the face
Bring on the zombies and the zombie apocalypse
I'll sneak out ninja-like without a trace
Zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie die!
I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse
Break out the pistols and the smoke grenades
Bring on the zombies and the zombie apocalypse
They'll never break through my huge barricade
I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse
I got a machete and I'm hackin' away
A knife this size is just the perfect weapon
To keep those evil zombie scum at bay
Zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie die!
I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse
I've got a shotgun right here in my hand
Bring on the zombies and the zombie apocalypse
From this area the undead are banned
I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse
I've got the undead after me in swarms
Bring on the zombies and the zombie apocalypse
They're comin' at me in a zombie storm
Zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie die!
I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse
I'm cuttin' them down like big chunks of meat
Bring on the zombies and the zombie apocalypse
I'm sure not planning on an early retreat
I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse
I'm ready for the zombie assault
Bring on the zombies and the zombie apocalypse
I'm not about to join the undead cult
Zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie die!
Zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie die!
Wow, this blog is running long. That's it for today. The conclusion to Ich Bin Ein Zombie is coming soon! See ya!

Poker Face

Here's a picture you might find a little interesting:
That's just about the greatest poker hand ever. Three aces, two queens, and two nines. I won $15 with that hand, but dad refuses to pay me. I'm sure he'll see things my way soon enough. The strange thing is, during the next hand, my friend got those exact same three aces and two sevens. That is a weird coincidence.
And here's a little video you might like:
I myself wrote that song and figured out the fingering on the piano. There's more to it, which I'll try to upload asap.
Bye!

21 Bucks

GREEN DAY! Hi, people! I have a lot to announce today. Firstly, today's blog is in total green font to not only salute the greatest color ever, but as a tribute to the greatest BAND ever, Green Day! They created such awesome songs such as Know Your Enemy, 21 Guns, and American Idiot. My band, Vert Day, is a spoof on THEIR band. By the way, 'vert' means 'green' in french.
Due to Veteran's Day, my birthday party, and a huge swine flu epidemic (I will get you someday, villainous pigs!), I have not been able to blog for a while. So here are some story follow-ups.
_______ the Whacko is gone forever, deported to a hellish place known as San Fransisco. Me and my best friend, ______, had a look-back on his career as a world-class butthead, and then forgot him entirely.
My birthday party was a hit (as usual) and we went bowling (also as usual). My presents included:
A copy of Lego Star Wars 1
A copy of Spore
A copy of Green Day's hit CD, 21st Century Breakdown
A 'Clone Wars' T-shirt
And a 'how to draw graphic novels' book, all from my parents. From my friends;
A silvery glitter ball (ooh, magic glitter!), 3 boxes of Wonka Nerds®, and 21 bucks
A lego set
A gift certificate to Toy's R Us
The book 'Ender's Game' and a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble
Also, my band has written its first songs (Know Your [Japanese] Anime, 21 Bucks, and Mexican Idiot [not politically correct]). Here are the lyrics to 21 Bucks. You really have to know the tune, so click HERE to see the Green Day video of 21 Guns.
Do you know what the lotto pot was?
It was 21 million bucks
Do you know how many people won?
'Bout a million...
I couldn't believe my eyes
When a million suckers won the first prize
When those ping-pong balls came to a halt,
I was ruined...
I won, 21 bucks!
What a rip-off, holy crap
I won, 21 bucks!
This lotto was, totally fixed
I'm in ruins...
Plus, I bought 'bout five thousand tickets
That's five thousand bucks, right down the tubes
There's no way to get all that cash back,
I'm in debt now...
I still can't believe my bad luck
This whole lottery really sucks
It's the end of the world for me,
I'm in ruins...
I won, 21 bucks!
What a rip-off, holy crap
I won, 21 bucks!
This lotto was, totally rigged...
I'm in ruins...
My house was just foreclosed
Then my patio was bulldozed
My whole life is full of woes
And I'm feeling pretty d**n hosed
I am now some bum on a street
With no shoes and smelly feet
I should know that I've been beat
I'm in ruins...
I won, 21 bucks!
What a rip-off, holy crap
I won, 21 bucks!
This lotto was, totally rigged...
I won, 21 bucks!
What a rip-off, holy crap
I won, 21 bucks!
This lotto was, totally rigged
I'm in ruins...

Karl Wallinger and Kanye West: K.W.

aç å∂´ƒ©˙ˆ∆˚¬µ˜øπœ®ß†¨√∑≈¥Ω Wow! Those are some pretty cool thingamajigs! All you have to do is hold down alt-option and---- TA-DAHHH!
Today's pearl of anti-wisdom: When there's a will, there's a way---- unless you want to wake the dead. Chez. Chez peanuts.
I live very close to San Fransisco. I live in Marin County, only a fifteen minute to half hour long drive away. And that means that we just couldn't stay away from a certain big festival in S.F.. I wonder what that could be...

Yes, Bluegrass came to San Fransisco again, and with it, the numerous hippies, whackos,
and random people who are running from authorities.
We went to see World Party at their big outdoor concert, but the internet is abuzz, NOT
because World Party was there, but because of Karl Wallinger's closing comment:
'This is one of the maddest f***ing gigs ever; we must be mad. Mad!'
All the little babies I saw in the audience got to hear their first F-bomb that night.
Everyone, I am a HUGE fan of game shows: Nothing's more fun than watching idiots who are not me humiliate themselves. Which is why I am rejoicing in the fact that Tom Delay, former Republican majority dork, is on Dancing With the Stars.
YES!!! A Republican idiot! I'm in heaven.
Today's TOPIC OF INTEREST is... Kanye West. In the words of Obama's not-so-off-the-record comment, 'He's a jackass'. Yes, I used the word 'jackass' on my blog :o wow. I think if Obama does it, it can't be that bad.
Ohkaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, maybe not. Fine. I will never use the word 'jackass' on this again.
Bye!
